Start your day with their famous Waffles—whether you opt for a plain waffle at just US$6.99 or jazz it up with toppings for US$9.99. If you’re in the mood for something hearty, try the Meat Lover's Skillet for US$10.99, packed with savory ingredients that will leave you fueled for adventures. If you're heading to or from the remarkable Field of Dreams Movie Site, this restaurant is an ideal stop. As Chris Anderson notes, "Nikki our server was super sweet and helpful," and after indulging in a BBQ pork chop sandwich with crispy fries, he couldn’t resist going for a second cup of delicious taco soup.

Stopped on our way home from RAGBRAI. DELICIOUS breakfast— the special omelet of mushrooms, tomatoes, and feta cheese was amazing and the hash browns with sautéed onion…yum! A pleasure to meet the chef/owner. Service was quick and attentive. The community of Farley is blessed to have this restaurant!

Stopped here for a late lunch. Food was amazing. We had Philly Cheese stakes, grilled chicken wrap, BLT club, and the chicken fingers! The cook came out and talked with us and he was super polite! Small quiet place, highly recommended!

We were starving after visit Field of Dreams and everything was closed except the gift shop. Nikki our server was super sweet and helpful. Mario is the owner is a really cool guy. He’s also the cook. The food is delicious. I had a bbq pork chop sandwich that came with super crispy fries (just how I like them) and a cup of soup. Today’s soup was taco and it was so good I had two cups before my sandwich arrived. My wife got the fried shrimp basket. The shrimp were ok, but she’s spoiled from eating shrimp when we’re at our Florida house. I’m glad we found this place. I hope you’ll pay them a visit when you’re in Farley.

Farley Family Restaurant has quickly become a favorite after a few visits, and it’s easy to see why. Mario, the chef, consistently delivers delicious meals, ranging from a classic BLT and Fish Sandwich to more indulgent options like the Ribs and Shrimp special. The onion rings are a tasty treat, and tonight’s hamburger and tenderloin sandwich were standouts. My wife’s burger was cooked exactly to her liking—juicy and full of flavor. I opted for the Tenderloin special, which came with a cup of homemade minestrone soup. The soup was so good that my wife enjoyed it and they even sent us home with a bowl since we were the last customers of the night. As for the tenderloin, it was everything I’d hoped for and more: lightly breaded, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. It’s hands down the best tenderloin I’ve ever had. And let’s not forget about dessert. Mario’s homemade pie crust is incredible, and we’ve made it a point to split a piece every time we’ve visited. The service is as warm and welcoming as you’d expect in a small Iowa town, and the restaurant is spotless. Farley Family Restaurant is truly a hidden gem that’s worth a visit.

Food was huge portions. We are from out of state and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and ask about our trip and give recommendations. Very nice atmosphere as well!

Cute little diner. I had a turkey melt on rye bread. Turkey was thick cut, like off a turkey breast (not just deli meat). Fries were tasty, crispy with a good coating. This was a late lunch and reason we stopped is it was the only place open, others in the area closed at 2pm. Will definitely stop again.
